Comparative Bodybuilding: Young Ladies And The Elderly
Real quick now, everything you know about bodybuilding, has been made up by jackasses and dipsomaniacs.
The people who did put on some muscle, did so by doing it wrong for frequently enough.
Celebrities who reveal that they used this and that, are just scammers, self-promoters, and drug abusers.
Young males with flimsy arms and stick figure legs, who act lithe they know it all, are just role playing.
The huge people with huge arms often suffered childhood obesity, and that extra fat weight does built muscle.
I recommend trying simulating that fat weight with wrist weights, with ankle weights, the weight vest, and may the less common weight belt.
I also encourage you to simulate the warming properties of fat, by wearing a rubber foam belt, often mismarketed for weight loss.
I saw someone wearing a weight vest at the gym today, but, the gym is for sweating, and may not allow outside equipment even.
You should wear the weight vest, when you are not at the gym, and not sleeping, again you are simulating the fat weight of big bodybuilders.
I think it is difficult to weight yourself down, at wrist, ankle and with a vest, I think it is something we can get used to, but is best for demonstration.
And heavy people teach that growing muscle, is just the body’s response to a sustained challenge.
Also today I saw two fierce ladies, a young lady correctly and fiery lifting, and a mature woman correctly walking a long distance to awaken her muscle.
This is correct, dynamic lifting of heavy, never develops bodybuilder muse, it develops flexibility and strength, and and protects from muscle atrophy.
Walking is more advanced, it is a full body, non muscle isolation workout, it just keeps a person healthy.
Bodybuilding, a somewhat questionable direction, not difficult at all, is the fusion of the two, it is fast walking while lifting.
When you make that safe and effective, you add twisting and turning, and to rest while in motion, you cycle standing dumbbell exercises to rest.
This is very much just dancing with dumbbells, switching between biceps, and lifting above your head, while doing dance moves.
And while dance-bodybuilding isn’t something everyone is interested in, it has go to be the fastest way, anyone can possibly grow muscle.
I suspect, it maybe possible for a young lady, to just workout 20 minutes a day, by dancing with light dumbells.
For the elderly who need their muscle to return to them, slower dancing is still probably the way to go.
It is walking multiplied, and with music, a pretty good break from narrated books for a while.
The one thing I’ve noticed is that some people in their middle age, swing weights, they don’t actually light them with muscle, or not by much.
As they age, that becomes a bad routine, and they end up swinging heavy, which is never for long enough to make a difference.
One young gentleman this week out of his hour, lifted heavy for just a minute, and that is just stretching.
Presumably when a young person lifts heavy they want big muscle, but that does not do anything other than stretch muscle.
People who spend a litter bit more across different machines, just barely develop muscles and instantly plateau.
Because lifting heavy and muscle isolation destroyed their exercise, heavy means: never for long enough, and isolation: one muscle at a time.
The mature woman holds the key, bodybuilding requires endurance, it is non-stop movement first, just like joggers you close the rest gaps.
And only then you add the weight and more dynamic motion, heavy weights don’t have that non-stop driver.
And machines are only really good for people with physical disability, one gentleman at my gym uses a whirly gig to get around.
And he is the perfect candidate a lot of the muscle isolation machines, even though he has one leg in a cast, he can still safely exercise.
It will take longer, it will be less effective than dancing with dumbbells, but it will do just fine, for the duration that he is in the cast.
The elderly with serious muscle atrophy, gain the same advantage, when dancing is too much, they can spend an extra hour jitterbugging the machines.
This demonstrates that muscle isolation, is not normal, a pro bodybuilder may spend their time on biceps to win some medal.
But only after a full workout, which could be 3 or 5 hours long, they will be to tired to move much more than two muscles.
But even here a full body workout like like dancing with dumbbells, already ears ridiculous biceps, the judges might care for a balanced physique.
I would say, muscle isolation is for the disabled, and should be temporary, until a person can perform a full body exercise.
The mature woman has an open path to walking faster, up until she starts a slow jog, and freak everyone out.
If she can slowly jog for 30 minutes, adding wrist-weights, 1lb increments, is the next step for putting on muscle, up to 3 pounds per hand.
And at that point, we add the twisting and turning of the young lady, and switch from wrist weights to dumbbells.
And the result is dancing, with light dumbness, 3lb per hand, not swinging but lifting large.
At this stage the mature woman who works out for 1 hour, becomes 40 or 30 years old.
For young people, it is really important to avoid muscle atrophy, hang on to what youth has granted you.
And that means the same thing that the mature woman is doing, dancing with dumbbells, faster motion means shorter exercise.
For those who are large and want to trade fat for muscle, you dance longer 2-3 hours non-stop.
And once you can handle 5lb per hand, you add 1lb wrist weights, and then 2 and 3, until you can move to the next dumbbell weight.
Non-stop first, weights second, lift light but not so light that you can lift more, and never so heavy that you are forced to stop and ruin your exercise.
